All of our clients are different and so are their homes. Each Macdonald & Lawrence timber frame is a custom design, that has arisen from a well thought out and executed approach.
All beautiful homes start with an idea - perhaps it comes from a place visited, a childhood memory or a picture in a magazine. Macdonald & Lawrence will help you through the process of turning your vision into a structure that brings your family lasting joy.
|1||Exploration Discussion||The process begins with a detail oriented exploration of our client's needs and desires.|
One of the most important relationships in the new home design and build process is the pairing of the designer or architect with our new home clients. The design phase matches you with talented architects and designers.
Throughout the design phase, the vision inches towards reality and evolves into drawings, renderings and 3D modeling. This is truly the point where dreams begin to take shape!
Our experience allows us to navigate our clients away from the unknown pitfalls and steer them towards an insightful and complete design.
|3||Permit Ready Conversion||Once the design process is complete and all necessary changes have been made, the preliminary design is converted into construction drawings. This is the point where engineering and architectural details are specified and where the permit ready drawings are completed.|
|4||Timber Sourcing||We are dedicated to sustainability. We source and utilized FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) timber. We also assist clients who have an interest in using their own timber for their building project supplying consulting, selection and milling expertise.|
|5||Framing||We have a very strong team of talented in-house carpenters from around the world who are always keen to complete beautiful sustainable Timber Frame homes. Where needed, we partner with likeminded trades people who adhere to the our values and attention to detail.|
Macdonald & Lawrence can continue to work with you after the build completion, depending on the appropriate level of engagement.
