Looking for a scenic new hiking spot this long weekend? How about a trestle trip? A historic trestle bridge spanning the Koksilah River in the Cowichan Valley has been reopened to the public after a $7.2-million restoration saved it from demolition.
Just in time for the re-opening of his beloved Kinsol Trestle, valley historian T. W. Paterson is releasing Rails to Trails, a historical map and guide to the trestle, the Trans Canada Trail and the Cowichan Valley.
