Roof Lifted Off Nanaimo’s Historic Bastion

Workers doing a restoration overhaul on Nanaimo’s Bastion blew the roof off the historic structure this week.

With the roof removed Thursday and the top two floors being taken apart, the 157-year-old building will appear almost completely gone for the next two or three weeks.
